« on: August 15, 2012, 09:30:18 PM »
Would anyone be intresting in a cutesy knitting panel. The basics and a few examples of cute things that could be made, knitted flowers, bows, toys etc. Finger Knitting, French Knitting and normal straight knitting? Just a thought.

I actually know a couple of people who would be rather interested in this, as two of my friends are avid knitters c:

:'o Sounds good! I've got some knitting stuff at home but never really knew how to use it. (Crochet is more my thing... ^^; Though I'm still pretty much a noob at that, too.)
I'd love a panel on knitting basics. :) You could add sections for beginners and add little extra pointers for those with more experience, just so they're not sat listening to stuff that they might already know?

A knitting panel would be amazing :D If you wanted to do demos and so on, I have a bunch of acrylic DK yarn sat around I'd be willing to donate, and if you need any extra help, I've got a few years of knitting under my belt so I'd be glad to give a hand~

No days for specific cosplays decided yet.

A hand would be fantastic I'll PM you and we'll talk ^_^

Basics will be included and it would be nice to split the group into what they would be interested in learning, I help out with a knitting group at the school my daughter goes too and I introduced finger knitting, french knitting, straight knitting and Making Pom Poms which seemo go down really well it works best if you can divide the group and those interested in straight knitting goes in one group and the other type in the other.

I might be interested in this! I'm always envious at people that can knit cute things, I've only ever knitted scarves before so would love to learn how to do more!

I can loan DPNs and donate lots of small balls of brightly coloured wool (provided I haven't donated it to school already) too.

Oh, and skillz. Like making knitting needles out of chopsticks because you got an itch and you're far away from home. >_>

I am a big fan of cute things but my knitting experience is zero. If you're covering the bases for a complete novice I might be interested in popping along. (And I'm sure my partner would be delighted with me filling up our flat with even more random cute objects).

I think the plan is to cover the basics, and teach some basic skills and so forth, and then show some advanced techniques :) We'd love you have you along!

I intend to cover the basics with hand outs and videos showoing how to cast on , cast off and basic stitches, I will demosnstrate those skills and let people try them. I will then show and discuss some more advanced skills and different ways to use the knitting skills etc and I will show all teh cute things that can be make with a little bit of effort and patience. I'm still learnng, I learn something new everyday but I think I have enough skills to get someone else started. I help teach 5-11 year olds at my daughters school. I am also hoping to put gift bags together for attendies and perhaps some games or *bring people up to the front and have them do thngs etc for prizes. @Not sure yet. I'm still workng on it all but it should be good and hopefully everyone will get somethng out of it whether yours a beginner to the craft or a seasoned knitted I will get somethng in there for you all.
