We will be running a whole variety of events over the course of the weekend. What's listed below is not exhaustive but should give you a sample of the great activities going on over the course of Aya.
You can also now download our Full Event Schedule.
Main Events
These will be some of the biggest and most popular events we'll be running over the course of AyaCon.
Music Concert
Our two bands Unicorn Table and Unshin will both each be performing live in concert in the Student Union building over the course of the weekend.
Guest Panels
Our two American guests Michael Sinterniklaas and Matt Mercer will be hosting a variety of informative and entertaining panels on a host of topics.
Cosplay Masquerade
Hundreds of attendees will be dressing up as whole variety of characters from anime, manga and video games. The masquerade will be your chance to the amazing work and attention to detail people have been putting in.
Piano Recital
In 2009 Raven brought us a beautiful piano concert mixing in a whole medley anime, gaming and geek music. She will be returning once again but this time with a vocalist to make the show even more awesome.
Sunday Night Live
Back once again, your chance to take the spotlight and entertain the rest of the Ayacon attendees, either by yourself or in a group.
Evening Entertainment
One of the biggest highlights of the con for many is the evenings line-up. Once the days activities are over it's time to let loose and have some fun.
Anime/JPOP Karaoke
The ever popular karaoke session will be your chance to get up and give us your best singing voice in front of a room full of slightly drunk people. We'll have a huge selection of anime themes and jpop songs to choose from.
Parties
Each night of the event will include a late night party for you to drink and dance the night away. Including the Time Traveler's Dance on the final night where anything goes in regards to costumes and music choice.
Pub Quiz
Irreverent, rude and often borderline offensive the anime pub quiz is often more about how much you can stomach as much as it is how much you know.
Dedicated Rooms
These are places you visit all weekend long each serving a different niche.
Dealer Room
A huge room will be packed with a weird and wonderful set of products from lots of different retailers as well as fan run tables. With everything from bizarre Japanese snacks to huge Gundam model kits.
Video Screenings
Each year we work with UK distributors to bring you the very best line up of new anime and Asian cinema. A constant stream of new titles will be running throughout the convention.
Cosplay Headquarters
A dedicated room is put aside for cosplayers featuring photography studios, galleries, self repair tools and more.
Games Room
Our games room is usually packed full of music games such as SingStar, RockBand and DDR along with all the latest popular fighting games such as Super Street Fighter IV.
Artists Alley
For the first time ever we'll be setting up a dedicated area for artists to setup a table and sell their prints or sketches to attendees.
