Held Saturday evening, the main cosplay event of any convention – a chance for all cosplayers to show off their favorite creations on the main stage.
A second chance to show off your costumes alongside your acting or performing skills, held on the Sunday evening. From wearing your Yoko costume while twirling batons to joining with a group of cosplayers to produce a re-enactment, or anything in between – cosplay is welcome and encouraged at Sunday Night Live.
Running Saturday and Sunday morning, this event allows the more competitive of you to pit your talents against others in a showdown of cosplay!
Sign-ups will be in advance only, registration will go live on the 26th July.
No matter how well made your costume is, disasters can always happen – to help reduce the stress you can find the cosplay repair desk, full of supplies to mend all sorts of problems (well, we can’t work miracles but we’ll do our best!)
All weekend there will be cosplay panels running spanning from armour making to performance techniques. Please see the Events page for full details of each panel closer to the event.
Organized by Cosplay Island, this gallery aims to show off past cosplay to those unfortunate enough to miss them the first time around. Click the link below to find out how to take part.
Ever wanted a studio photo shoot of your costume? Well now is your chance! There will be a photo studio set up in the Cosplay HQ on both Saturday and Sunday - please check the room for times and photographers available when you get to the convention.
Calling photographers!
Do you want to try your hand at a studio set up? We have free slots over the weekend where the studio is not in use, all you need to do is sign up! For those who have never used studio equipment we also have two photographers on hand, who will be able to instruct you and give handy tips. (Please note - you will not be able to use the extra light and flash equipment if you have not had training, contact us to organise a training session!)
If you are interested in signing up for this, please send an email through to cosplay@ayacon.org.uk to discuss your requirements and time slots!
In the Cosplay HQ we will be running a Charity Cosplay Bring & Buy - donate your unwanted fabric and items to us and browse other attendees' donations to pick up a bargain! All proceeds go to our chosen charity, The British Heart Foundation, in memory of Ewan Chrystal.
Please drop off your items at Cosplay HQ on the Friday, we will be accepting fabric, wigs or anything else cosplay related that you think someone else might want!
